Create A Christmas Card With Just One Sheet Of Paper

Hi everyone.

I'm sure by now you've finished making all your Christmas cards and are already onto Easter! But if you still have one or two special ones left to make, or you just feel like some extra Christmas cardmaking now that the festive season is in full swing, I thought I'd show you how to make an eye-catching Christmas card.

What You Will Need

one sheet of A4 Christmas pattern paper

5 x 7 white card blank

white card

glue or double-sided tape

foam pads or foam tape

black ink pad

self-adhesive gems

How To Make It

1. Cut a panel from the top left corner of the A4 paper that measures 12cm x 17cm.

2. Using glue or double-sided tape, attach the panel to the front of a 5 x 7 white card blank leaving a small border round the edges.

3. Cut out a piece of white card that measures 11cm x 16.15cm and attach it to the centre of the patterned paper on the front of the card.

4. Download this free Christmas Tree Template by clicking onto the link below:

Print it onto card. Carefully cut round the template and use it to create the tree shape from an unused section of the patterned paper.

5. Glue the paper tree to a piece of card and cut round it. Attach the tree to the upper section of the white panel using foam pads or foam tape.

6. Cut a tag shape that measures 8.8cm x 2.5cm from the remaining patterned paper and attach it to the card underneath the tree.

7. Cut a smaller strip of white card to fit inside the tag but leaving a border. Stamp a Christmas greeting in black ink onto the strip and attach it to the tag.

8. Add a self-adhesive gem to each corner of the white panel. Add more gems to the tree.

TOP TIP

Use the leftover patterned paper to make matching gift tags or last minute tree decorations.

............................................

I hope you enjoyed making this card and that you have a very Happy Christmas!

Take care.
